It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that Sheila Gray has passed away from complications of her cancer diagnosis. Sheila has been with the Cascade family for many years - as a parent, part of the admin team and in the last few years one of our assistant coaches.  She will very much be missed.

Season Suspended Through March 31st

Club Season Suspended through March 31st

It is with great regret that we will be suspending all volleyball practices and tournaments through the end of March based on recommendations from the Washington State DOH.  Please note the following announcements:

  1. Governor Inslee issues emergency proclamation
  2. Puget Sound Region has canceled all events until March 31st
  3. Pacific Northwest Qualifier has been canceled
  4. Northwest Jamboree in Yakima has been canceled (previously reported)
  5. All practice locations have been canceled by the host facilities

We are taking the following steps to ensure the health of the club:

  1. Continue paying all coaches and staff during the suspension
  2. We are working on collecting refunds for the club’s expenses due to canceled tournaments.
  3. Refund the portion of dues covering the canceled travel tournaments
    1. We remain hopeful that we will resume play and perhaps even add a local tournament, but unfortunately, we do not know what the future holds.  In an effort to avoid multiple refunds to players, we are requesting your patience.  We will wait until we have a final determination regarding the remainder of the season before we calculate and process refunds.  If this delay in a refund presents a hardship for you, please let us know.
    2. We are working to take care of our community, but it is coming at a financial cost to our club.  Cascade is a non-profit, and while we do not expect this, families may donate their refund back to the club to help preserve the health of the club.  Please email us if this is an option you would consider.

We thank everyone for their support and hope that everyone stays healthy and does their best to support the community by following the guidelines put forward by the state. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with questions or concerns.
