Cascade is a great place to Coach!
One of our founding principals was to create a club where coaches could constantly learn and improve their coaching skills.  It is important to us that Cascade not only be a place where players grow but be the ideal place for coaches to grow too.

We believe strongly in investing into the training of all of our coaches.
Cascade runs coach training sessions under the leadership of Dave Roast who has over 25 years of experience as a volleyball instructor and a player.  He also is an executive leadership consultant and is uniquely well qualified to help our staff become better coaches.  In addition Cascade Volleyball pays for USA Volleyball training for each of our coaches.  This starts with the basic “Impact Training” and continues with the Coach Accreditation Program (CAP I and II).   We also send our coaches through the Gold Medal Squared Program hosted at UW in May which is a 3 day intensive experience with some of the best coaches in the country.

Our coaches have had on court training from the following instructors:

Cascade Volleyball also has an in-club coach mentoring system where an experienced coach travels to each team to observe practices and provide feed back to our coaches.  Dave Roast is assisted by:

Carolyn Farny, UW player and graduate 2005
Whitney Dibble, SPU player and graduate 2007
and others.
